just got back from a little vacay…did a little shopping while i was gone. quite tame for the city i was in (NYC!).

At Woodbury Commons:

went to the Gap Outlet just to get some Long & Leans…grabbed a couple purple tops while i was there as well. i don’t remember how much the tee was, the jeans are always $29.99 and the purple frilly shirt was like…$19.

i went to the Juicy Couture store…got this cute gray/silver top. this pic does the shirt no justice…it’s really cute on. maybe i’ll take a pic when i wear it. it was on sale for like…$99.

 no trip to NYC would be complete without the obligatory souvenirs…the t-shirt was $5 on Canal Street, LOL.

went to the MAC store…had to get a couple ‘Cult of Cherry’ items…the 2 eye palettes were $35 i think, the Cork pencil was $10 and the C-Thru lipglass was $13.

and I went to the Marc Jacobs store. at the MJ store I got the Daisy Body Butter ($35) and the MbyMJ Accessory store I got the keyrings ($5 each) and the messenger bag ($19).

I just had to post about the really cute barstools I found on (of all places!) eBay. Only $210 for all 3, that includes shipping too! Total bargain. Similar ones were available on Target for upwards of $100+ each hah.

They arrived yesterday & I couldn’t wait to put them together.

Freaking love them, probably the best part of moving is getting to decorate & start over. :D

I found out about HauteLook.com quite accidentally. I’d been watching the news before work one day (this was months ago) & they had a little segment about a new ’sample sale’ style online store called HauteLook. Sample sales are awesome as you can get things at nearly 50% off or more! So I signed up for their emails right away. How could you not?!

It basically works like this: Every day or so they’ll feature a new designer to showcase and sell pieces from. The online ‘private’ sale is usually from 12-24 hours at a time. Items range from accessories, lingerie, shoes to coats. Most of the pieces are from past collections or seasons. I haven’t seen any handbags on there but I don’t check the site that often.

I’ve been waiting for the Stila sale for a couple weeks now and purchased a few items from it. I wanted to get more but most of the foundations, glosses, blushes etc were already sold out or they were out of my shade. That’s my only caveat, you have to be quick or get up at the crack of dawn in order to get everything you want in your shade or size. :P But that’s with all sales, right?

So first up is the Kajal eye liner in ‘Aquamarine’ ($6.60; regular $14.00). This goes on so smooth! Reminds me of Urban Decay’s 24/7 eye pencils. Aquamarine is a really pretty light bluish-green shade, very pretty! I’m definitely going to look more into Stila’s liners.

Eye shadow trio in ‘Vallarta’ and ‘Acapulco’ ($12.80 each; regular $32.00). I love these! They go on like butter and they’re very pigmented. I also love the generous size, it’ll last forever. And they’re so pretty! I bought one (Mazatlan) during May of last year and intended to buy all 3 shades but forgot about them heh. I’m so glad I was able to pick them up now and on sale. Talk about good timing! :D

Eye shadow trio in ‘Gold Glow’ ($10.40; regular $26.00). I usually experiment with new eye combos on the weekends when I have more time. These eye shadow trios make it so easy to put on my face in the mornings as I don’t have to think about shade combinations.

Not bad for only $54.37! :)

so, yesterday I needed to go shopping. i have been losing weight (!) and a lot of my clothes fit funny. i wanted to get a couple tops to take me from summer to early fall, happened upon some cute shoes at Target of all places, and got some H&B items i needed.

My first stop was to New York and Company…I LOVE this store. I can walk in, grab a few things and walk out…all without trying things on. I know that I can get something that I need and I ALWAYS have a coupon. I used a 30% off coupon today.

– first are some earrings I picked up at NY&Co…they were BOGO 50% off. The first pair was $12.95 and I got the second for $4.47.

–here are the tops I got from NY&Co. These are $22.95 each. The pink one is $7.47.

–I also got a purple cardi…it has 3/4 sleeves. I paid $32.95 for it.

–then i got a pair of britches…yes I call them britches! These are $39.95.

For 3 tops, 1 sweater, 1 pair of pants, and 2 pairs of earrings I spent a little over $100 after using a 30% off coupon.

–at target i found two pairs of cute PURPLE shoes…my fave color!! I got a pair of flats and a pair of peep-toes. The pumps are $26.99 and the flats are $24.99.

–i went to Bath and Body Works…if I told you I got all this for $21.35, would you believe me?

The soaps are 5 for $15. The lotion is $11. The lipglosses are buy two at $7.50 get one free. That little purple lookbook is $5. With my $10 off $3o coupon and free product coupon (lotion) I really did spend only $21.35.

–and lastly a few H&B things from Sally’s:

The makeup brush wipes (LOVE!) are $4.99.  The tweezers are $3.99.  The acetone is $2.49 and the shampoo brush is $0.79.  I spent $13.

No more shopping for me for a while…that is until next week when we go on vacay, and we go to Woodbury Commons!!
