Not quite what I was expecting

I purchased this as my son's first big boy bed. I wanted one with drawers for storage, and something that would be not too high off the ground for my 2 year old. I chose this particular bed because it is made of real wood, and I thought it would be superior quality to ones that are not. I now believe that was a mistake. Putting this bed together was a nightmare. The instructions gave no words, only very simplistic pictures, and not a single thing in the box was labeled. It was also missing pieces so I had to call the company that makes the bed and have them mailed to me; which took about two weeks. Oh, and the whole reason I chose this particular bed over all the others- the real wood? It is not high quality whatsoever. The wood is very soft, and dents very easily; and the finish chips off if you so much as look at it funny. I feel I would have been better off spending slightly less money and getting a bed not made of real wood that would still be just as good, if not better, than this bed. All in all- not worth it.

Assembling bed is a lengthy process. Will need a drill or screw gun. Well made furniture.

It worked out & its very functional!

After months of doing research in trying to find a bed that would be functional and practical for a long period of time I came across this one. I read the reviews and weighed the options while continuing to look around. Then the day came for a big sale - getting the headboard and the bed together for a great low price. I quickly ordered it and was anxiously awaiting its arrival, due to the fact this was going to be a surprise for my soon to be 5 year old son. Upon its arrival I quickly took out all the pieces and inspected them. I soon found 2 small dings in one of the side rails and looked at the box and noticed where the box had been damaged during travel/delivery. I was upset, but also short on time. I was able to get help with assembly, which was a good thing due to the fact I wouldn't have been able to put it together by myself. 3 hours later it was fully assembled, & the damaged piece was luckily placed up against the wall and was colored in with markers! The drawers are very functional, deep enough to use storage baskets and the color couldn't have been more perfect. The headboard is tricky in putting together but it is a great item to have because it gives you 2 more shelves to use for stuffed animals, clock radio or kleenex box. Over all I'm very pleased with the bed. And my son was very surprised to see and have a "grown up bed" in his room.

i just love this bed, the color, sturdiness, just the right size for my 4yr. old grandson, that was a birthday present. love it.

Great bed!

This bed is solid wood except for the drawer bottoms and back of headboard. It's very sturdy. My 3 year old loves it.

Just what we wanted

We were looking for a solid twin bed with storage for our almost 4 year old son. This bed fit the bill for a good price. Assembly instructions were fairly straight- forward. Between the interruptions of being a mom of young children, I managed to assemble it by myself in about 1/2 a day before my husband came home from work. It is attractive, our son loves it, and the drawers offer a good amount of storage. We are very pleased.
